Case 4

History

A 55-year-old woman presented to the emergency room with a 4-day history of severe pain in the toes of her right foot. She had been experiencing mild buttock claudication for the past year. On physical examination her right toes were cyanotic (Figure 1), but peripheral pulses were palpable.

Aortography and bilateral extremity runoff arteriograms were obtained (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
